Sylvie-Ann's journey
o "Believing parents.
o Father: talks about Saturday as a true day of rest, but Liturgy is on Sunday in St-Venant.
o As a child, I talked to God on the hill of St-Venant about everything I experienced: injustice, poverty, etc.
o At age 10, intense prayer to heal my dying mother: answered, she is alive and se's 95 years old.
o At age 15, very insecure about the future, intense prayer to God to have his PROMISE to protect me FOR LIFE.
o At age 21, testimony given in churches for 9 months on the poverty I experienced, the power of prayer, and the presence of God in my life.
o At age 29, married for eight years, two children, difficult separation. I kept my FAITH.
o At age 33, I started attending a church: the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Sherbrooke, on the advice of a good friend from work, Denise Therrien.
o At age 39, new partner.
o At age 40, birth of Jonathan.
o At 53, I began working in palliative care—end of life. This work speaks to me deeply.
o At 57, Jonathan's father passed away in January 2017.
o I walk with Jonathan through the loss of his father. Questions, God in his life, heaven, the Bible, the prayer. Denise Therrien is present at times.
o At work, I must select with great discretion and according to God's inspiration, patients who are believers, weakened by illness, to talk to and remind them of the importance of KEEPING HOPE in God and the ETERNAL life.
o Following our journey, we agree to be baptized with joy and certainty by immersion in the river on August 16, 2025.
o *GOAL*: To become the SALT of the EARTH, walking with God to soften our characters with wisdom, foresight, and discernment through prayer and Bible study. Finally, to become TRUE DISCIPLES in GOD. AMEN.
